Why is our government doing about the rediculous spike in our gas prices?

The price of our gas has jumped over 30% in the past month and it it absurd. This is going to wreck our economy if the gas goes any higher than this. We need gas to drop to help this economy grow and our stupid government is doing nothing. All they have on there mind is terrorism in other countrys while our nation goes broke. The other countries do not have there gas prices spiking like this damn country of ours. Are the people of the USA going to stand up and demand our government to take action to these making the gas prices spike to $ or $5 A GALLON???? I know it is all these damn oil speculators doing this on wall street and the damn oil companies squeezing down oil refining because I know there is plenty of oil there to be refined....I have friends who work at refineries and they say they just keep the oil on the tankers to make oil prices go up.
