How to wean my 16 mo. baby? she uses it like a pacifier night and day? I wont let her cry so dont suggest that

I know how you feel. I went through this with my daughter. Do you co-sleep? I wish I could give you a concrete answer but all I can say is it just sort of happened one day. I started putting her in a bed in my room when she was about 18 months and when she wasn't right next to me she started sleeping longer without looking to nurse. She would come into my bed half way through the night and I would nurse her for a couple of seconds and then stop. You could try nursing for a shorter period each time and then rocking or patting her back to sleep.
