Why do Arab people think they are Caucasian?

I go on dating sites and see that most Arabic men (obviously in their picture) say that they are Caucasian? I don't understand this when they are Middle Eastern. I am Middle Eastern too and am proud of my heritage, so it makes me wonder why they do this. I have seen other Arab, Lebanese and the like claim to be White too. Is it that they don't want to be Arab anymore or do they think they are White. I love White people, but don't care to be White, because I am good enough the way I am
