Retrofitting an old computer?

What kind of vintage (1979 - 1989) computer case would accept an AT or ATX board without modification? I am trying to retrofit an old case so it looks like a pure 1980's computer but is running modern hardware. If there is no case that can accommodate this, where can I get instructions on DIY modifications?
