Rebound guy?

After I broke up with my ex,a friend got me to meet a new guy.We kinda hit it off so we went out for dinner & movies until we had like a week after.He'd take me to his friends' parties on weekends til one night they asked me if we are bf-gf.I wanted so much to confirm as to where we stand but he's inconsistent with how he handles what we have right now so when his friends asked,I told them pointblank that we're only friends.He looked disappointed with that.Then he asked me if I'm looking for a boyfriend.I told him we're not going to discuss it coz he'd a lot to drink.We went to my apartment & had again. At that point I asked him, but he threw the question back to me. I insisted he tell me.He got quiet & told me we're going to talk about it in the morning.It didn't happen.Thing is with this guy,I'd only get to see him during the weekends bec of the nature of his job.He also seldom calls or texts.He's like this with an ex that's why she left him & he admitted he was hurt.
