How many electoral votes did Obama and McCain end up with total?
no one really knows because the electorates have not voted. Granted many states are required by law to vote according to the popular vote of their state. However there are several states that do not have such a law, and therefore the electorates vote, and who ever gets the majority in their vote, then that candidate gets all the electoral votes for that state. Those number are from what I understand are projections. Just look up the electoral college and it explains it all, and tells which states are required by law to vote according to how the majority of their state voted.
